What is fib618?
The fib618 brand is for traders in all forms, Forex, crypto (cryptocurrency), bitcoin, penny stocks, and the stock market. The fib618 brand celebrates the Fibonacci sequence and Fibonacci retracement (the golden number).
In trading, Fibonacci retracement is a method of technical analysis for determining support and resistance levels. Traders all markets use it. fib618 designs reflect the work of Fibonacci.
We focus on fun and informative merch, apparel and gifts designed specifically for any trader. It is the mission of fib618 to be a globally recognized and favourite merchandise brand of online traders.
The fib618 Design Philosophy
Designs by fib618 will always include an element from Fibonacci's sequence or retracement.
Objects within the design will reflect a Fibonacci sequence number or reference occurrences of Fibonacci in nature, such as pineapples, turtles, shells and more. All designs are an in-house collaboration between Darren and Nicole.
The primary font for the fib618 logo is a Fibonacci-designed font called Fibonacci Fraktur. This font was designed for free use with credit by Christian Horsbøl Christiansen.
Who is fib618?
fib618 is the brainchild of the husband and wife team of Darren Kjemhus and Nicole McDonald. Shortly after transitioning their career to remote, Nicole (digital marketing expert and author) and Darren (commercial banker turned forex trader) reached their 10-year goal of moving to Costa Rica.
One evening while enjoying a beautiful Costa Rican sunset, they began to talk about online trading, the increase in the number of people doing it, and the philosophies of trading Darren had been learning. The further the discussion carried on, Nicole's design and marketing brain kicked into high gear as Darren talked about a niche market and a potential gap in the market for a trader's brand. Darren's knowledge of Fibonacci quickly became the foundation for the brand as it is well known and referenced often in online trading.
From there Darren and Nicole began to create fib618's vision and mission and researching their audience to solidified the brand's foundation. As the days passed, the idea and design for the brand became clearer. With this clarity, they began to plan and design for a launch on November 23, 2022 – Fibonacci Day.
